A man was shot dead in Begusarai over a dispute between his friend and friend’s wife. The incident caused panic in the area and a crowd gathered. The police arrived at the scene immediately after receiving the information. The police have taken the body into custody for post-mortem.

He had been staying in his village for the past year

The incident took place in the Chakhabi village of the Bakhti Khana area. The deceased has been identified as Ramchandra Mahato (51) from Vithan in the Hasanpur police station area of Samastipur district. It is said that Ramchandra Mahato used to work as a supervisor at a brick kiln in Punjab. However, due to illness, he had been staying in his village for the past year. He shared a deep friendship with Siban Mahato from Chakhabi in the Bakhti police station area.

Friend’s wife called him

Relatives said that on August 28, Siban Mahato’s wife called Ramchandra Mahato and informed him about a dispute between her and her husband. She asked him to come and resolve the issue. Ramchandra Mahato went to his friend’s house to settle the dispute. It was during this time that he was shot and killed. After the incident, Ramchandra Mahato was taken to a primary health center for initial treatment. From there, he was transferred to a private nursing home in Begusarai for better treatment. However, he passed away during the course of the treatment. The police have taken the body into custody for post-mortem and are investigating the case.
