Tragic Incident in Motihari
On Sunday night in Motihari, unknown criminals shot and killed a young man riding a bike. The police arrived at the scene and took the body for postmortem. The incident occurred in the Raghunathpur police station area near Hardiya. The deceased, Rajiv Ranjan’s father Vinod Patel, mentioned that Rajiv had left on his bike around three in the afternoon. An hour later, the family received the news that Rajiv had been shot.
Family’s Trauma
When they reached the scene, they found Rajiv’s body in a pool of blood. His friend Pappu Singh, who was riding with him on the bike, was held by the villagers. Rajiv’s father believes that Pappu Singh is involved in his son’s murder, as he claims that it is impossible for his son to have been shot and left unharmed. The police have taken Pappu Singh into custody for questioning.
Police Investigation
According to information received, a four-wheeler slowed down in front of Rajiv’s bike, and three criminals on a bike shot him in the head, resulting in his immediate death. Rajiv had two brothers and two sisters, with the youngest sibling living at home. The police are working on identifying the criminals through CCTV footage and have already identified the vehicle used in the murder. They are confident of making arrests soon.
Efforts to Solve the Case
SP Kantes Mishra mentioned that the police team was sent to the crime scene upon receiving the information and the body was sent for postmortem. The CCTV footage in the vicinity is being examined to identify the criminals. The vehicle used in the murder has been identified, and all the criminals involved will be arrested soon. The investigation is ongoing, and a possible motive for the young man’s murder is being looked into.
