Experience the taste of mushroom pakoda at the Sandis Compound in Bhagalpur. The compound hosts various stalls, including food stalls, where Lalita Devi from Goradih Panchayat sells her famous mushroom pakodas. Despite high demand, she couldn’t fulfill everyone’s order on the first day of the fair. Lalita Devi produces mushrooms in Goradih Panchayat and sells the pakodas at various fairs, but this is the first time she has introduced them at the fair in Bhagalpur. The demand for her mushroom pakodas is high, and she sells them for just 5 rupees each.
The Preparation of Mushroom Pakoda
Preparing mushroom pakoda requires some effort and time. Lalita Devi boils the mushrooms thoroughly, then grinds them and mixes it with besan (gram flour). The mixture is then combined with water and seasoned with salt, onions, coriander leaves, and spices. Once mixed well, the mushrooms are added to the batter, and the pakodas are fried. Lalita Devi mentioned that a kilogram of mushrooms can yield a large quantity of pakodas.
An Ideal Alternative with Health Benefits
Lalita Devi initially faced difficulties in selling mushrooms, but she came up with the idea of introducing a new dish ★mushroom pakoda. People gradually started trying it and the number of customers increased. Mushroom pakoda has several health benefits as mushrooms are rich in protein. Consuming 50 grams of mushrooms daily can prevent various health issues. For those who don’t enjoy eating mushrooms directly, mushroom pakoda provides an easy and delicious alternative.
