Muzaffarpur is going to get a new model railway station, similar to the one in its junction. The Sonpur division has decided to develop this station in Turkey after it was handed over to the Samastipur division.

The Gujarat-based company, Bhaskar Jyotish Anusandhan Pvt. Ltd., has been assigned this project. Their engineers have started surveying the area since Tuesday, and the Sonpur rail division has been kept informed about the progress.

Railway officials, including TI Naveen Kumar, were present during the survey. On Thursday, the DRM of Sonpur, Amit Saran Ramdayalu, will inspect the Turkey station and gather more information about the survey work being conducted.

A new bypass section will be built between Turkey and Silaut, which will help in developing a new railway station, excluding the existing Muzaffarpur station. This will help improve the railway infrastructure in the region.

The survey will look into building a coaching depot, terminal, and a railway colony at the site. The survey started on Tuesday at 11:00 AM, and a site map has been included in the survey report.
