This article shares the update about school closures in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, due to severe cold weather.

Recently, all schools in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, have been ordered to close until January 1 because of the freezing cold. This decision was made by the district administration on Sunday, as the chilling winter continues to affect daily life.

Earlier, schools for students from classes 1 to 8 were shut until December 28, and classes for students in grades 9 to 12 had adjusted timings from 10 am to 3:30 pm. However, with the cold wave becoming more intense, the authorities decided to close all educational institutions completely.

This closure includes all government and private schools, as well as coaching centres in the district. The District Education Officer has stated that strict action will be taken against any school that does not follow this order.

The weather has been very cold lately, with temperatures dropping to 13.9 degrees Celsius. Strong winds and rain have disrupted normal activities, causing fewer people to venture outside. Traffic has reduced significantly, and attendance in government offices has also dropped.

Looking ahead, the Meteorological Department has indicated that the cold weather will persist. They expect temperatures to drop even more, potentially going below 10 degrees Celsius in the coming days. There are no signs of immediate relief from this cold spell.

Summary:

  • All schools in Muzaffarpur are closed until January 1 due to extreme cold.

  • Earlier, only schools for classes 1 to 8 were closed till December 28.

  • Strict action will be taken against schools that do not comply with the closure.

  • Current temperatures are around 13.9 degrees Celsius, affecting daily life.

  • Further temperature drops are expected, possibly below 10 degrees Celsius.
