Known for its unique taste, the Shahi Litchi from Muzaffarpur attracts many people towards it. This variety of litchi is not only famous in India but also in foreign countries, with a high demand for it. Every year, a large quantity of Shahi Litchi is exported to different countries, including Dubai.

The Bihar Litchi Producer Association has arranged for the transportation of litchi to Dubai using a cool chain refrigerated van. Special planning has been done for this purpose, and this year, four tons of litchi have been sent to Dubai in response to the increasing demand from there. The litchi is processed and sent in a fresh condition using cold rooms for transportation.
Challenges and Solutions
Exporting litchi to Dubai can be challenging, but with the help of the cool chain refrigerated van, the process has become easier. The van has the capacity to transport six tons of litchi at once, and efforts are being made to send even more in the future. This initiative is expected to boost the export of Shahi Litchi from Muzaffarpur to international markets.
