Nilesh Mukhiya Murder Case:
The murder of councilor’s husband Nilesh Yadav, also known as Nilesh Mukhiya, was a major factor in the ongoing land dispute and revenge for an insult. Nilesh’s friend Ajay Rai conspired with the rival Pappu-Dhappu group to carry out the murder. The conspiracy was exposed by SSP Rajeev Mishra.

The Rift and the Murder Plot:
Ajay and Nilesh were involved in a land business together. Ajay had given Nilesh Rs 38 lakh for a plot worth around Rs 7 crore. However, Nilesh demanded an additional Rs 45 lakh, leading to an argument between the two. Unbeknownst to Nilesh, Ajay joined forces with the Pappu-Dhappu group and planned the murder.
Ajay’s Deception:
- Ajay received Rs 25 lakh from Pappu-Dhappu to hire shooters for the murder, but he only gave Rs 5 lakh to the shooters and shared the rest with Santosh.
- Ajay and Santosh arranged accommodation for the shooters and provided a car for reconnaissance.
- Previously arrested Vikas provided the SIM card for the operation.
Murder and Investigation:
- The shooters attempted to kill Nilesh once but failed. They demanded more money, which Ajay asked them to return, but they had already spent the entire amount.
- Ajay gave them a 48-hour ultimatum, after which they attacked Nilesh near Kurji Mod on July 31. Nilesh succumbed to his injuries after 24 days in a Delhi hospital.
- Eight individuals have been arrested so far, but Pappu, Dhappu, and Gorakh are still at large despite their properties being confiscated. Ajay was also wanted in a rape case.
