This article talks about changes to the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail service, including new timings and fares starting January 1, 2026.

Namo Bharat Rapid Rail, a special train service between Patna and Jaynagar, is making some changes. Starting from January 1, 2026, there will be new timings and some adjustments to the train’s speed. This means passengers will experience a different schedule than before.

The train currently travels at a speed of 130 km per hour and takes around 5.5 hours to cover the distance. However, from January, the train’s speed will reduce, and it will also leave Patna at 5:55 PM instead of 6:05 PM. The arrival time in Jaynagar will, however, remain the same at 11:45 PM.

Passengers will notice that while the train will arrive earlier at several stops along the route, including Samastipur and Mokama, it will reach Patna later than before. The morning service from Jaynagar will also change, leaving at 5 AM and arriving in Patna at 10:40 AM, which is 10 minutes later than the current schedule.

In addition to the timetable changes, the fare for the Namo Bharat Rapid Rail will also increase. As of December 26, the cost has gone up slightly, for example, a ticket from Patna to Mokama now costs Rs 120 instead of Rs 115, which might affect many passengers who rely on this service.

These updates are part of the ongoing efforts to improve railway services. Passengers are advised to check the new timings and fares before traveling to avoid any confusion. The changes aim to enhance the travel experience, even if it comes with some delays.

Summary:

  • New timings for Namo Bharat Rapid Rail start from January 1, 2026.

  • Train speed will be reduced affecting overall travel time.

  • Fare increases have been implemented from December 26.

  • Passengers should check the updated schedule to plan their trips.
