What’s inside:
This article talks about the upcoming Road Over Bridge in Nawada that aims to solve the long-standing traffic issues in the city.
The residents of Nawada city are finally going to get some relief from the annoying traffic jams that have been bothering them for years. A new Road Over Bridge (ROB) is being built to replace the railway crossing in the Nawada railway section. The construction is moving ahead quickly, thanks to the hard work of local MP Vivek Thakur and the Government of India.
This project is a major part of MP Vivek Thakur’s vision of a ‘Developed Nawada’. Although the work was slow for some time after the Bhoomi Pujan by the Road Construction Minister, things have picked up pace now. The district administration is actively measuring land on both sides for the bridge, with the work almost at the final stage.
The new bridge will not only ease traffic but will also help save time and fuel for everyone. A public hearing was held in November 2025 to discuss the Social Impact Assessment report, focusing on compensating those affected and clearing out encroachments. This bridge is expected to boost economic activities in the city.
In addition to the ROB, there are also plans for a ring road and bypass in Nawada. Once these projects are complete, heavy vehicles will be redirected, reducing congestion on the main roads and making travel easier for everyone.
As the construction progresses, the focus is now on ensuring compensation for affected families and removing any obstacles. With the bridge, ring road, and bypass, Nawada is on its way to a much smoother and developed infrastructure.
