Gulshan Kashyap, a teacher in Jamui district of Bihar, has stated that when teaching 100 children in a school, it is necessary to take a 15-minute nap in between. In order to improve the education system, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, KK Pathak, needs to make changes in the rules of schools. This incident took place in the Lakshmipur block primary school in Jamui district, where teacher Ranjan Kishor was found sleeping while on duty.

According to the teacher, he gets tired while teaching 100 children. During one such instance, he took out his chair to sit in the sun to warm up and then fell asleep on that chair. His sleep was so deep that even when the children were shouting to wake him up, his eyes didn’t open. When questioned, he said that he teaches these 100 children alone, which is why he gets tired and needs rest. He also mentioned that he had attended a wedding the day before, which resulted in incomplete sleep and a headache, hence he was sitting for a while. Now, teacher Ranjan Kishor has become a topic of discussion in the district due to this video.

Officials are saying that action will be taken after the video of the teacher sleeping instead of teaching the children came to light. Anandi Harijan, the Education Officer of Lakshmipur block, stated that she has been informed about this video. In this case, action is being taken against the teacher. She mentioned that they have asked the teacher for clarification. If he does not provide a satisfactory response, then definite action will be taken against him.
