A case of fraud involving 70 lakh rupees has come to light in the Shikarpur police station area of Bettiah district, Bihar, where a Nepali woman was deceived under the pretext of providing a job abroad. The complainant, Aasan Chhaee, a resident of Kathmandu, Nepal, has filed an application with the Shikarpur police station seeking justice in the matter. According to the victim, Murli Kharakatwa, a resident of the Murli Kharakatwa village in the Shikarpur police station area, was involved in the fraud.
The victim claimed that Murli Kharakatwa convinced her that he had contacts in foreign countries who could provide her with a good job. Believing him, she paid him a sum of 70 lakh rupees as fees for the job placement. However, after receiving the money, Murli disappeared and stopped responding to her calls and messages.
Realizing that she had been deceived, the victim approached the Shikarpur police station and filed a complaint against Murli Kharakatwa. The police have assured her that they will investigate the matter thoroughly and take appropriate action against the accused.
Cases of fraud and deception in the name of job placements are unfortunately common, especially in developing countries like India and Nepal. It is important for individuals to be cautious and verify the authenticity of any job offers or promises made by unknown individuals before making any financial transactions.
