Rajasthan Government announces new holiday system in schools

The state government has introduced new holidays in schools from August to November. These include one day for Raksha Bandhan on August 19, two days for Teej on September 6 and 7, Anant Chaturdashi on September 17, and Jitiya on September 25. This decision will provide relief to women.

Teachers welcome the decision

The decision issued by the Education Department has been welcomed by the teachers’ union. Teacher leader Raju Singh stated that teachers have been given back 6 holidays. This will especially benefit female teachers who observe Teej and Jitiya. He has also demanded that during Durga Puja, a three-day holiday should be extended to at least 8 days.

Order issued by the department

The Education Department issued the order on Monday. The existing holidays will remain the same. The order was issued by the Director of Secondary Education, Vaidyanath Yadav, and will apply to primary, middle, and high schools.

Amendments to the previous holiday list

The Education Department has issued amendments to the previous holiday list, declaring holidays for five occasions. One holiday is in August and November, while four holidays are in September.

राज्य सरकार ने स्कूलों में छुट्टी की नई व्यवस्था की है, जिसमें अगस्त से नवंबर तक छह अतिरिक्त छुट्टियों को शामिल किया गया है। शिक्षा विभाग की ओर से जारी इस फैसले का शिक्षक संघ ने स्वागत किया है और महिला शिक्षकों को तीज और जितिया की छुट्टियों में फायदा होगा। आदेश के अनुसार, इसे सामान्य एवं उर्दू विद्यालयों के स्तर पर लागू किया जाएगा।
