The Chief Minister of Bihar has launched a new initiative to support farmers for the Rabi season in 2025-26.
The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, has started the Vasantik (Rabi) Mahabhiyan for the year 2025-26 from 1 Anne Marg. This program aims to help farmers prepare for the upcoming Rabi season. On this occasion, special vehicles for farmer awareness were also launched, which will travel across all 38 districts to inform farmers.
The main goal of the Rabi Mahabhiyan is to boost crop production during the Rabi season. The Agriculture Department will implement various programs to help farmers improve their yields. Agricultural scientists and workers will be involved in this initiative to provide farmers with information and training about modern farming techniques.
Farmers will receive expert guidance on advanced agricultural practices and financial assistance under government schemes. The initiative will also ensure that farmers get access to certified seeds, as well as oilseeds, pulses, and other crops needed for the season.
Additionally, the Agriculture Department plans to distribute grants to farmers at subsidized rates through various schemes. This way, farmers will have better access to resources needed for successful farming during the Rabi campaign.
Several senior officials, including ministers and secretaries, were present at the launch event. This initiative is expected to provide vital support to farmers, making their work easier and improving agricultural productivity in the state.
