School Enrollment Duplication: Over One Lakh Students Struck Off from Bihar Government Schools

उन बच्चों के नाम जिनको हटा दिया गया है, वे फिर से स्कूल आ सकते हैं अगर वे चाहें। लेकिन इसके लिए उन बच्चों के अभिभावक से एक घोषणापत्र लिया जाएगा। माता-पिता स्कूल को एक लिखित घोषणापत्र देंगे। जिसमें लिखा होगा कि उनका बच्चा अब नियमित रूप से स्कूल आएगा और किसी अन्य स्कूल में नामांकित नहीं होगा। इसके बाद, बच्चा फिर से नामांकित हो सकेगा और सरकारी स्कूलों में उपलब्ध योजनाओं के लाभ भी प्राप्त कर सकेगा। हम आपको बताना चाहेंगे कि पहले उन बच्चों को नोटिस दिया जा रहा है जो तीन लगातार दिन स्कूल नहीं आते हैं। शिक्षक भी उनके माता-पिता से बात कर रहे हैं और उन्हें स्कूल भेजने के लिए प्रोत्साहित कर रहे हैं। इसके बावजूद, 15 लगातार दिन स्कूल नहीं आने वाले बच्चों का पंजीकरण रद्द किया जा रहा है।
शिक्षा विभाग को जिलों से प्राप्त रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, 13 सितंबर तक, एक लाख, एक हजार 86 बच्चों के नाम हटा दिए गए हैं। इन आंकड़ों में और बढ़ने की संभावना है। इस रिपोर्ट में दिखाया गया है कि पश्चिम चंपारण और अररिया जिलों में लगभग दस हजार-दस हजार बच्चों के नाम हटा दिए गए हैं। वहीं, पटना में सात हजार बच्चों के नाम हटा दिए गए हैं, जिनमें से चार हजार ग्रामीण क्षेत्रों के स्कूलों से हैं। रिपोर्ट में यह भी दिखाया गया है कि प्राथमिक और माध्यमिक और उच्च माध्यमिक स्कूलों से प्राथमिक स्तर के अधिकांश बच्चों के नाम हटा दिए गए हैं। इनमें से, सबसे अधिक संख्या में पांचवीं कक्षा के 14,875 हैं और चौथी कक्षा के 14,299 हैं।
