This article talks about the recent celebration at Tiladiha Durga temple during the Navratri festival, highlighting the events and issues faced by devotees.

During the Ashtami and Navami Puja of Sharadiya Navratri, a large crowd gathered at the famous Tiladiha Durga temple. This temple is a well-known place of worship, and over two days, more than 16,000 lessons were offered while around 7,000 children underwent Mundan rites.

The celebrations were quite remarkable this year, with BDO Nitish Kumar noting that the numbers for Pathbali and Mundan rites have increased compared to last year. The Pathbali for Ashtami started at 7 PM and continued through the night, while on Navami, it began at noon and lasted about 19 hours, concluding at 7 AM the next day.

However, there were some issues for the public. Many devotees arrived without receipts, causing confusion among the police and administration. A few people, including devotees Vishnu Pandit and Bijo Mandal, fainted in the crowd and had to be taken to the CHC for help. Rain also created muddy conditions around the temple, resulting in losses for local shopkeepers.

Security was a priority during the celebrations, with many officials, including the Deputy Chief Minister and local MLAs visiting the temple to seek blessings. The administration ensured safety measures were in place, especially during the immersion of idols in the Badua river, which happened under tight security.

In the coming days, the administration plans to follow traditional practices as they handle the return of rams after nine days of festivities. There were also strict rules in place to manage the crowd and ensure everyone’s safety during the celebrations.

Summary:

  • Large crowds attended the Tiladiha Durga temple for Navratri celebrations.

  • Over 16,000 lessons and 7,000 Mundan rites were performed.

  • Some devotees faced difficulties, including fainting due to overcrowding.

  • Authorities ensured strict security during the events.

  • Traditional practices for rams’ return will follow the nine-day festival.
