Pataliputra Junction to Undergo Major Revamp with Modern Facilities and Expanded Parking Under Amrit Bharat Yojana

Pataliputra Junction in Patna, which has had limited facilities for a long time, is set to get a major makeover. The Central Government’s Amrit Bharat Yojana will help upgrade the station, making it much more convenient for passengers. The changes will be visible soon, creating an ideal station experience for everyone who travels through it.

A key highlight of this renovation is the addition of parking space for 500 vehicles. Currently, the station can only accommodate around 100 to 150 vehicles, leading to parking issues for travelers. With the new facilities, both the station area and the access roads will be improved, ensuring a better experience for all those visiting Pataliputra Junction.

The ground floor of the station will be revamped to include essential services like ticket counters, waiting rooms, and clean restrooms. This will ease the parking hassle for passengers arriving at the station. Additionally, vehicles will be able to enter the parking directly from the main road, which will help reduce traffic jams significantly.

Moreover, the narrow road leading to Pataliputra Junction, currently just 18 to 20 feet wide, will be widened to two lanes. This will help in smooth traffic flow and lessen problems caused by roadside vehicles and shops. This change will also benefit local residents and shopkeepers by reducing traffic congestion in the area.

The railway department plans to complete these improvements within the next two months.
