How the Gold Was Looted in Daylight

The victims, identified as Mahesh and Prince, had arrived at Danapur railway station from Rajkot via the Saharsa Express. As they were heading towards their destination in an auto-rickshaw, a Bolero vehicle intercepted them. Four individuals claiming to be customs officers stopped the vehicle and conducted a fake search of their belongings. They forcibly took the bags containing the gold and fled the spot immediately before the victims could realize it was a setup.

Police Investigation and Current Status

Khagaul police station is currently investigating the case to catch the culprits. Station House Officer Ranjan Kumar confirmed that the Bolero used by the criminals was found abandoned on the AIIMS-Naubatpur road. The police are scanning CCTV footage from multiple locations to track the movement of the suspects and identify the vehicle’s owner. The exact quantity of the gold will be officially recorded once the consignment owner, Sushil, reaches Patna to give his statement.
