A terrifying incident took place on Atal Path in Patna on Saturday evening when a moving ambulance suddenly caught fire. The vehicle was carrying a patient named Rajdev Ram along with his family members. Fortunately, the driver acted quickly, and all six people inside the ambulance managed to escape safely before the fire destroyed the vehicle.

How did the fire start on Atal Path?

The ambulance was taking the patient from a private hospital in Kankarbagh to another facility. While moving on Atal Path towards Digha, smoke was noticed inside the vehicle. Within moments, the fire spread, likely due to a short circuit or a technical fault in the oxygen cylinder. The driver immediately stopped the vehicle, allowing everyone to get out in time.

Who were inside the ambulance?

There were a total of six people in the vehicle when the accident happened. The occupants included:

  • Patient: Rajdev Ram, a resident of Aurangabad.
  • Attendant: Amarjeet Kumar (grandson) and others.
  • Driver: Who helped in the evacuation.

Local shopkeepers and passersby also helped the family move away from the burning vehicle. Fire tenders reached the spot in 20 minutes and extinguished the fire.

Was anyone injured in the incident?

Officials confirmed that no one was injured in this accident. The patient was shifted to another ambulance and taken to the hospital for further treatment. The fire caused a traffic jam on one lane of Atal Path for some time, which was later cleared by the traffic police.
