This morning, a tragic accident took place on the Patna-Bakhtiyarpur National Highway-30, claiming the life of a railway gangman named Lorik Singh. He was 42 years old and lived in Momindpur village. Lorik was returning home after his night shift at Danapur railway station when the accident occurred.

While riding his three-wheeler scooty, a speeding Hiva vehicle collided with him from behind near a petrol pump in Fatuha. The impact was severe, dragging Lorik’s scooty about 50 meters and causing significant damage. The locals rushed him to the Community Health Center in Fatuha, but sadly, he passed away on the way to Patna.

This unfortunate incident has left Lorik’s family in shock and has caused a lot of anger among the villagers. They frequently face such accidents on the highway and are now demanding action to improve safety. Many gathered at the accident site to express their frustration.

In response to the protests, local officials, including Fatuha SDPO Awadhesh Prasad, arrived to manage the situation. They opened the highway that was blocked for about half an hour by angry villagers. The locals raised concerns about large vehicles parked illegally along the roadside, which they believe contribute to accidents.

Following the incident, SDPO Prasad instructed all warehouse owners and hotels not to allow big vehicles to park on the roadside. He warned that strict action would be taken against violators. The police have also confiscated the Hiva involved in the accident, and Lorik’s body is being sent for a post-mortem examination.
