Patna DM orders schools to remain closed due to heat wave

The District Magistrate of Patna, Kapil Ashok, has issued orders for all schools in the district to remain closed until June 19th. This decision was made in response to the intense heat wave that has been affecting the region. This directive comes after the Bihar government had previously ordered schools to remain closed until June 17th.

Directive applies to both private and government schools

The directive issued by the Patna DM applies to all private and government schools in the district. However, the order for extended holidays only applies to students up to Class 8. Teachers and staff members are still required to report to schools during this time. The public has also been urged to take precautions against the heat wave and avoid unnecessary outdoor activities during the afternoon.

Possibility of other districts following suit

Given the extreme weather conditions, there is a possibility that other districts may also follow suit and order schools to remain closed. District Magistrates in other regions have the authority to make such decisions based on the prevailing weather conditions. It is important for students, parents, and teachers to stay informed about any further developments regarding school closures in their respective regions.
