What’s inside:
The Education Department is launching a survey to identify children who are missing out on education and help them return to school.
The Education Department in Patna has come up with an important action plan to help children who are not able to go to school. They will be conducting a door-to-door survey to find out these children and ensure they get the right to education. This plan aims to reconnect these children with their studies and get them back into the school system.
As part of the new National Education Policy, the focus is on educating every child in the society. The survey will specifically target children aged between 6 to 19 years. To make sure the data collected is accurate, special training has been given to experts who will conduct the survey, ensuring they know how to do their work properly.
The survey will be organized into two groups. The first group will consist of children aged 6 to 14 years, who will be placed in the right class for their age. The second group will include teenagers aged 15 to 19 years. The aim for this group is to understand why they left school after class 10th or 12th, so that their issues can be addressed and they can be re-admitted.
To support this campaign, ‘Help Desks’ will be set up in all government and aided schools. Training sessions for school principals are ongoing, ensuring that everyone involved is well-prepared for the survey. This is to avoid any problems during the data collection process.
The survey will officially start on December 16, with data collection happening until December 21. After that, the main household survey will take place from December 22 to 29. Finally, there will be public meetings on December 30 and 31 to verify the collected data before starting the enrollment process.
