A 26-year-old female student from Bhagalpur was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Patna on Saturday. The incident occurred in a rented house on Vir Kunwar Singh Path within the Shri Krishnapuri police station limits. She had been residing with her boyfriend, Piyush, for approximately one year while preparing for competitive examinations.

What happened on the night of the incident?
According to the statement provided by Piyush, the couple had dinner together around 9 PM on Friday night. He mentioned that everything appeared normal at the time. Around 11 PM, the student allegedly started playing loud music in her room while they were chatting on their mobile phones from different rooms. When she did not respond to requests to turn down the volume, Piyush broke the door and found her hanging. She was taken to a private hospital where doctors declared her dead.

The local police arrived at the scene after the student was moved to a hospital and have now taken the body into custody. Secretariat SDPO-2 Saket Kumar confirmed that the body has been sent for a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death. The deceased’s family, including her father who is a former Mukhiya, has arrived in Patna from Bhagalpur. The police are waiting for a written complaint from the family and the medical report to proceed with further legal action.
