SpiceJet Flight Diverted to Varanasi, Passengers Stranded
Jagran Correspondent, Patna: SpiceJet flight number SG 8472 coming from Delhi to Patna was suddenly diverted to Varanasi on Saturday. Passengers coming to Patna are stranded there at Varanasi airport. The new time table has not been released.
It is being told that the flight had to be diverted due to bad weather. Visibility was reduced due to torrential rain accompanied by strong wind in the afternoon. Due to this, the flight could not be landed in Patna.
After receiving information from ATC, the flight was diverted to Varanasi. After reaching Patna, this plane was to fly back to Delhi at 4.25 pm.
Incident in Patna
Let us inform that before this on August 9 last month, Indigo flight landing permission was not given at Patna airport due to incessant rain on June 10, due to which Indigo’s Delhi-Patna flight (6E 5128) remained hovering in the air for about 45 minutes, causing panic among the passengers.
Later, after getting permission from ATC at 12:33 pm, the plane could land at Patna Airport, whereas the landing time of that flight was 11:45 pm. At the same time, the airport management did not give any official information regarding the delay in landing.
