Arrest made in case of inhuman acts on minor maid in Danapur
A woman named Archana, also known as Soni, has been arrested by the Danapur police in Patna for subjecting a minor maid to inhuman acts. The case came to light after District Labor Superintendent Chandan Kumar provided a written statement. Archana’s husband Dilip Kumar, mother-in-law Ahilya Devi, and an employee are also named as accused in the case. The police have taken the victim, who had escaped from her home in Muzaffarpur to work as a maid, to a short stay center and have conducted a medical examination.

The victim revealed that her mother had handed over the household work to Archana one and a half years ago for a monthly payment of Rs 2,000. Archana’s maternal house is located near Chhoti Kalyani in Muzaffarpur. The victim stated that initially everything was fine, but Archana started fighting over trivial issues and even physically assaulted her with a mortar and pestle.
Escape from the mistress’s flat
The victim managed to escape when Archana was busy talking to guests who had visited her flat. She hid in a nearby house and was later spotted by the guests who were searching for her. The police were informed and they took both the victim and the young man who accompanied the guests to the police station. The guests clarified that they were not involved in the torture and were searching for the maid as instructed by Archana.
No motherly feelings despite having two children
Archana, who resides in Sai Palace Apartment, has two children and owns a nearby store. Her husband works in Kathmandu and Mumbai. Following the incident, Archana absconded with her children and mother-in-law, leaving her flat locked. The neighborhood is shocked by the brutal treatment of the minor despite Archana being a mother herself.
