This article provides details about a court hearing regarding the construction of a road connecting Jalalpur village and Rupaspur Danapur Canal.

In Patna, the High Court has taken up a public interest litigation (PIL) concerning the construction of a road that will connect Jalalpur village to the Rupaspur Danapur Canal. The court has asked the railway officials and the state government to discuss and work out a solution to this issue. The next hearing on this matter is scheduled for six weeks later.

The PIL was presented by Panchanand Singh, and the case was heard by the Acting Chief Justice Sudhir Singh along with his bench. During the hearing, advocate Satyam Shivam Sundaram explained that there is a need to build a road linking Bailey Road and Jalalpur village. This connection is important for the local community.

The railway administration has agreed to provide one and a half acres of land for the road construction. In return, the state government will pay ₹10.32 crores to the railway authorities. This agreement was originally signed back in 2015, but the road construction has not progressed as expected.

Recently, when the state began work on this road, the railway administration objected, claiming that the final decision regarding the agreement was still pending. The PIL also requested the court to ensure that no further delays are caused by the railway administration in building this vital road.

Advocate Satyam Shivam Sundaram mentioned that this issue has been unresolved for nearly ten years, causing significant trouble for the villagers. The court has emphasized the need for collaboration between the state government and the railway administration to resolve this matter efficiently.
