The Aftab Alam murder case in Khusrupur, Patna has taken a significant turn after allegations of a conspiracy surfaced. Pinky Devi, the wife of Sanjeet Kumar, who is an accused in the case, has approached the Director General of Police seeking justice. She claims her husband is innocent and is being falsely implicated due to personal rivalries and political motives.

The Conspiracy Allegations and CCTV Alibi

Pinky Devi stated that her husband Sanjeet Kumar was in Patna during the time of the incident and not in Khusrupur. She has requested the police to examine CCTV footage and mobile location data to verify his whereabouts. According to her, the accusations are part of a political conspiracy linked to the recent municipal elections. She believes that local enemies are using this case to settle old scores and frame her husband in a crime he did not commit.

Police Investigation and Recent Arrests in the Case

The investigation is currently being led by a team under SDPO Fatuha to uncover the truth behind the murder of Aftab Alam, a resident of Lodipur. On April 7, 2026, the police made progress by arresting two suspects in connection with the crime. During the operation, the authorities recovered the following items:

  • A country-made pistol hidden in Lodipur village
  • Total of 17 live bullets and a motorcycle seized
  • Raids are being conducted to find other individuals involved in the case

While the police continue their raids to catch the remaining perpetrators, the appeal for an impartial investigation by the family of the accused has added a new layer to the ongoing probe. The police are now looking into the claims of political enmity alongside the evidence recovered from the crime scene.
