A violent attack took place in the Maner area of Patna late Friday night, targeting the residence of Bihar Agriculture Minister Ram Kripal Yadav’s son-in-law. The incident occurred in Vyapur Poorvi Gali during a memorial ceremony at the house of Rajendra Prasad. Unidentified armed individuals opened fire and used swords, leaving three people seriously injured and causing massive panic in the locality.

How did the incident at Maner unfold?

The attack started during a Shraddh program at the house of Rajendra Prasad. According to local reports, the attackers used a mix of firearms, swords, and stones to target the family members. Witnesses reported that approximately 15 rounds were fired during the chaos. The injured individuals, including Rajesh Kumar alias Pappu, were immediately rushed to AIIMS Patna and other private medical facilities for urgent treatment.

Following the information of the shooting, the Maner police arrived at the scene and conducted a preliminary investigation. The authorities have recovered several empty bullet casings from the spot.
