Patna has just gotten its first metro service, thanks to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. The metro was officially launched on Monday from the new ISBT, and CM Nitish even took a ride to celebrate this big moment.

The Patna Metro is a dream project of CM Nitish and is dedicated to the people of Bihar. This metro will connect three stations: ISBT, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath Road, with a total track length of about 4.5 kilometers.

Starting from October 7, daily operations will run from 8 am to 10 pm. The fare is set at ₹15 for a single station and ₹30 for all three stations, making it affordable for everyone. Around 900 passengers can travel in the metro at one time.

Each metro coach can hold up to 305 passengers, with facilities for women and differently-abled individuals. The metro trains are designed with beautiful Madhubani art, showcasing the rich culture of Bihar.

After the launch, the metro will soon be available to the public. CM Nitish is pleased to see his vision come alive, and the excitement among the people at the launch was very noticeable.
