This article shares updates on the Patna Metro project, including new routes and their benefits for commuters.

The Patna Metro project is moving ahead quickly. The metro service between Bhootnath Road and Malahi Pakdi station is expected to start after December 20. This new route will allow passengers to travel non-stop across five stations, providing much-needed relief to the people in East Patna who face heavy traffic every day.

On October 6, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar opened the New ISBT to Bhoothnath Road section. Since then, over 94,000 passengers have already used this route. This shows that the metro service is becoming popular among people in the capital and more and more people are choosing to use it.

The Malahi Pakdi station is fully ready, and the final touches are being done at Khemnichak station. Officials are also conducting technical tests and trial runs for safety. Once they receive all the necessary approvals, this route will be open for passengers. This will improve traffic flow between key areas like New ISBT, Zero Mile, Bhootnath Road, and Malahi Pakdi.

The construction of the underground metro line from Malahi Pakdi to Rajendra Nagar is progressing well, with a target to finish by June 2026. Work is ongoing for tunneling, station design, and security infrastructure. Once this section is ready, it will make travel in crowded areas like Patna Junction much easier.

Additionally, the tender for laying tracks from Rajendra Nagar to Patna University has been issued. Once finalized, construction will begin quickly on this important route connecting educational and government institutions. The opening of the Bhootnath Road-Malahi Pakdi route is expected to significantly ease traffic congestion and make public transport more efficient.
