Patna Municipal Corporation has introduced strict rules to curb pollution and illegal dumping of debris in the city.

Patna is taking steps to clean up its streets! The Municipal Corporation is now active in tackling the rising pollution and dirtiness in the city. They have announced a new rule that will punish anyone caught throwing garbage on the roads.

Under this new rule, builders, contractors, and anyone else who dumps debris on roads, drains, or empty plots can face fines. The Municipal Corporation believes that construction dust is a big reason for the poor air quality, which is making people sick and ruining the city’s beauty.

From now on, all construction debris must be taken to designated dumping spots. Builders will have to drop off their waste at special points set up by the corporation. They also need to use green mesh at construction sites to keep dust from blowing onto roads.

If someone breaks these rules, they could be fined up to ₹1500. The Municipal Corporation will have teams checking regularly to make sure everyone is following the new guidelines.

For the convenience of residents, there’s also a new service to pick up debris from homes. People can call 155304 to have waste collected for a fee of ₹600 per trip. The corporation has set up six specific places around Patna for dumping debris and is urging everyone to follow the rules to keep the city clean.

Summary:

  • New rules introduced in Patna to combat pollution.

  • Fines for illegal dumping of construction debris.

  • Debris must be deposited at designated locations.

  • Fines can go up to ₹1500 for violations.

  • Residents can request debris pickup for ₹600.
