The Patna Police caught a major liquor smuggling operation ahead of Holi, seizing a large amount of foreign liquor and arresting the driver involved.

Patna Police has made a big move to stop liquor smuggling just before the Holi festival. Acting on a tip-off, they took action in the Agamkuan area and found a large amount of foreign liquor hidden in a big container.

During this operation, the police seized 1,041 cartons of foreign liquor, which is estimated to be worth around one crore rupees. They arrested the driver of the container at the scene and are now questioning him to find out more about the smuggling network.

This particular consignment was labeled as ‘Holi special’ liquor. The smugglers used a container to disguise their operation while transporting it from Punjab to Patna. The bottles had markings from different states, indicating that this is part of a larger interstate smuggling ring.

After this successful operation, nearby police stations have been put on high alert. The Patna Police have increased checking on main roads and borders to prevent more illegal activities during the festival season.

Police are now analyzing the mobile call records and route maps of the arrested driver to track down the main players in this racket. They are confident that soon more people involved in this smuggling operation will be caught.
