Patna Police successfully rescued a kidnapped man and arrested six people, including the masterminds behind the crime.

A recent update from Patna reveals that the police have scored a significant win in their ongoing fight against crime. Following a directive from the City Superintendent of Police, they quickly responded to a kidnapping case that occurred on January 7, 2026, in the Buddha Colony area. Within just 24 hours, police managed to safely rescue Santosh Kumar from Nalanda district.

The police have identified Hridayanand Yadav and Nirmala Devi as the main culprits behind this kidnapping. They were part of a group that had been cheating people out of large sums of money by falsely promising them jobs in the secretariat. In total, six people were arrested, including these two main suspects.

Police reports indicate that Santosh Kumar was kidnapped because he demanded the return of his money after failing to secure a job. Instead of returning the funds, the gang decided to kidnap him and transported him to Nalanda. This situation highlights the serious nature of job scams in the region.

To tackle this serious issue, a special team was formed, combining efforts from both the Patna Police and the Technical Cell. They used technical evidence and human intelligence to conduct a successful raid in Nalanda, where they rescued Santosh Kumar from the criminals.

This operation showcases the efficiency of the police in handling such urgent matters. The immediate rescue of Santosh Kumar not only brought relief to his family but also sends a strong message to those involved in similar criminal activities.

Summary:

  • Patna Police rescued a kidnapped man in under 24 hours.

  • Six people, including the masterminds, have been arrested.

  • The kidnapping was linked to a job scam.

  • A special team used technical evidence for the rescue.

  • The operation demonstrates police efficiency in combating crime.
