In Patna, there was a shocking case of kidnapping involving a coach attendant from the Pataliputra Express. This incident happened last night in a flood-affected area. The railway police acted quickly, arresting five kidnappers just a few hours after the incident and successfully rescuing the victim.

The Railway Superintendent of Police informed that the train was carrying liquor from Bengal when the kidnapping took place. The kidnappers were upset due to some losses related to this consignment and decided to take action when the train was near a flood station, stopping the train and taking away the coach attendant, Rakesh Kumar.

The kidnappers had demanded a ransom of ₹14,000 from Rakesh Kumar’s family. After receiving the ransom, they released him. Fortunately, Rakesh was found safe and was on his way back to Chitranjan by train after the whole ordeal.

During the investigation, the railway police managed to recover a substantial amount of illegal liquor and some weapons from the kidnappers. They seized two country-made guns, live cartridges, and a total of 22,750 ml of liquor during their operation.

As a result of the police’s prompt action, five kidnappers have been arrested, and the victim was rescued without any harm. This case highlights the efficiency of the railway police in handling such serious incidents swiftly.
