Bihar Government Schools Reopen After Summer Break

Government schools in Bihar are reopening after the summer vacation from June 10. The timings of the schools have been changed as per the new schedule released by the Education Department. According to the new timetable, government schools will operate from 6:30 am to 10:50 am. Classes one to eight will have a midday meal break during this time, while special classes for students in classes nine to twelve will be held from 11:30 am to 12:10 pm.

Changes in School Timings and Teacher Requirements

Teachers are required to report to school ten minutes before the start time. Earlier, there was opposition to the school timings due to the extreme heat, which led to many students falling ill. However, after the intervention of the Chief Minister, the schools were closed for the safety of the students. The new timings require teachers to arrive at school by 6:20 am and follow a specific schedule until 10:50 am, with special classes for different grade levels.

Tips for Coping with the Heat

With the intense heat in parts of Bihar, it is important for students to take precautions when going to school. Students should not go to school on an empty stomach and carry a water bottle in their bags. It is advised to stay hydrated and cover the head when going home after school. These measures will help students cope with the extreme temperatures during this time.
