A businessman identified as Dilip Kumar Singh was shot by unidentified gunmen in Patna’s Shivpuri locality on Tuesday night. Dilip Kumar Singh is known to be a close associate of JDU MLA Shyam Rajak and operates a construction materials company named MP Engicon. The attackers used a motorcycle to reach the spot and fled via Atal Path after firing several rounds at the victim near GS Enclave.
How the Shooting Incident Occurred
The incident took place around 9:30 PM near the Carbon Factory on Boring Road. Dilip Kumar Singh was near his apartment when two men wearing helmets arrived on a bike. They fired approximately three to five rounds at him. One bullet hit his stomach while another grazed his hand, leaving him critically injured. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital for treatment where his condition remains serious.
What the Police Investigation Reveals
City SP Diksha and an FSL team reached the crime scene to gather evidence and recovered two bullet casings. The police are currently looking into various angles, including a potential dispute over financial transactions with a builder. Authorities are also scanning CCTV footage from the Shastri Nagar area and Atal Path to identify the motorcycle used by the shooters. JDU MLA Shyam Rajak visited the hospital to check on his friend status.
