Violent Incident at Patna University
A student named Harsh Raj from Patna College under Patna University was brutally beaten to death, leading to a tense situation in the area. In response, the PU administration has decided to keep the university closed until May 30th, including all colleges and the PU headquarters. The administration and police are closely monitoring the situation, with police forces deployed at colleges.
Tension Continues at Patna University
Following the murder of student Harsh Raj, tensions have escalated in the area, leading to the decision to close PU headquarters and Patna College. Police forces are continuously patrolling the PU headquarters and Patna College campus. PU’s registrar has issued a notice in this regard.
Suspension and Investigation
The suspect arrested for Harsh Raj’s murder, Chandan Yadav, has been dismissed by AISA. A demand for a high-level investigation into the entire incident, with strict punishment for all involved, has been made. State President Preeti Kumar and Secretary Sabir Kumar have stated that an atmosphere of lawlessness and fear prevails in PU. The incident has also led to mourning in Vaishali, where Harsh Raj hailed from, and anger among students in various colleges and areas.
