This article informs about the new timings of Patna Zoo and other parks due to the cold weather.

Patna Zoo has changed its opening hours because of the colder weather. Starting today, the zoo will open from 6 am and close at 5 pm. This change will last until February to ensure visitors stay safe and comfortable in the chilly weather.

Morning walkers can enter the zoo until 9 am. After that, ticket counters will open for everyone else. Other parks in Patna, such as Eco Park and Buddha Smriti Park, will be open from 5:30 am to 7:30 pm. This adjustment in timings is made each winter because it gets dark early and light late.

During summer, Patna Zoo is open from 5 am to 6 pm, but in winter, the zoo closes one hour earlier both in the morning and evening. The new timings are designed to help visitors enjoy their time while keeping safety in mind.

On average, around 6,000 people visit the zoo each day, and this number increases to 8,000 or 9,000 in winter. The entry fee for adults is Rs 50, while children pay Rs 20. There are additional charges for activities like boating and visiting the aquarium.

To take care of the animals during the cold, the zoo is putting heaters and warm bedding in their cages. Special diets and care are being arranged for animals like lions and elephants. The zoo management prepares every year to make sure all animals stay warm and healthy during the winter months.

  • Morning walkers can enter until 9 am; ticket counters open later for others.

  • Other parks in Patna have adjusted timings from 5:30 am to 7:30 pm.
