This article provides details about a technical issue at Patna Airport that affected IndiGo flights, causing delays and cancellations.

Big trouble happened at Patna’s Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport recently. IndiGo, a popular airline in India, faced a sudden technical problem with its software. This glitch caused major disruptions, leading to the cancellation of five flights and serious delays for 29 others.

As the issue continued, many IndiGo flights were stuck on the ground for hours. Passengers grew increasingly frustrated and angry, leading some to protest at the airport. Airport officials and security personnel had to step in to calm everyone down as the situation started to get out of hand.

The trouble began when IndiGo’s crew rostering software, which helps schedule pilots for flights, suddenly failed. Because of this, the airline had to manually prepare flight schedules. This manual process caused delays for 12 incoming flights to Patna and 17 outgoing flights, with many passengers waiting for nearly six hours.

IndiGo stated that they informed passengers about the delays and cancellations, but many travelers felt that the arrangements were lacking. Therefore, the ground situation seemed quite different from what the airline reported, with many passengers expressing their dissatisfaction.

Chandra Pratap Dwivedi, the Airport Director, confirmed that the technical glitch affected IndiGo’s services in Patna. It is possible that some flights might still face issues in the coming days, particularly on Thursday.
