Bhojpuri superstar and former independent candidate Pawan Singh appeared before the Dehri Civil Court in Rohtas district on February 10, 2025. Why was the case filed against Pawan Singh?
The legal matter dates back to May 2024 when Pawan Singh was campaigning for the Karakat Lok Sabha seat. Reports from the time state that the actor’s convoy included more than 100 vehicles, which was far above the sanctioned limit. Due to this violation, the police registered FIRs at Akodhigola and Bikramganj police stations. He was booked under Section 188 of the IPC for disobeying orders issued by public servants and other relevant sections of the election code.
