**Pawan Singh’s Mother Files Nomination Papers**
The Karakat Lok Sabha seat is becoming hotter day by day as the election day approaches. On the last day of nominations, Pratima Devi, the mother of Bhojpuri power star Pawan Singh, filed her nomination papers as an independent candidate. She arrived at the Collectorate without any fanfare, accompanied only by her proposers, and submitted her nomination with simplicity. Earlier, Pawan Singh had filed his nomination on May 9. To avoid any concerns about his nomination being cancelled, his mother also decided to file her nomination.
**Fear of Pawan Singh’s Supporters Over Cancellation**
There were concerns that Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh’s nomination could be cancelled under a conspiracy. However, it was clarified that nomination is a constitutional process, and any candidate can also file a nomination in the name of a close relative. If a nomination is cancelled for any reason, the candidate can contest the election based on the nomination of a close relative. Therefore, Pawan Singh also followed this process by filing his mother’s nomination from the Karakat Lok Sabha constituency.
**Pawan Singh Trying to Deceive the Public**
The voting for the Karakat seat will take place on June 1 in the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections. While most parties are focusing on the seats in the fourth and fifth phases, the NDA has fielded Upendra Kushwaha in Karakat. Since Pawan Singh did not get a ticket from the BJP, he decided to contest as an independent candidate. The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) has fielded Raja Ram Singh, and the Mahagathbandhan is happy that NDA voters are divided. Upendra Kushwaha has accused Pawan Singh of trying to deceive the public by showcasing his strength only on social media.
