In Siwan, two thieves were caught and mercilessly beaten by the people after they were caught stealing cattle. The incident took place when the thieves were trying to escape on a motorcycle but collided with a car, injuring themselves. The people in the vicinity gathered around and started questioning them. Upon realizing that they were thieves, the culprits attempted to flee, but the crowd managed to catch them. They were then subjected to a brutal beating before being handed over to the police.
The incident occurred in the Bhada village of the Muffasil Thana area. According to witnesses, the two thieves were stealing goats and attempting to escape on a motorcycle when they had an accident near the Suta factory. The collision caused them to fall off the bike and sustain minor injuries. Suspicious of their activities, the people approached them and started interrogating them about the stolen goat. When the thieves tried to escape, the crowd caught them and started assaulting them.
The video of the incident has now gone viral. The identified thieves are Vikas Kumar, a resident of Mathiya village in the Maharajganj Thana area, and Bharat Kumar, a resident of Hajipur. The locals claim that they were stealing goats belonging to the brother of former village head Ajimulla and were trying to flee when the accident occurred. The villagers have expressed concern over the increasing cases of livestock theft in the area, causing distress to the farmers.
