PM Modi rolled out rotis and served langar to devotees, with photos and videos of him serving at the gurudwara going viral on social media. Amidst this, a video claiming that the Prime Minister was serving food from an empty bucket is also circulating rapidly.
Fact Check Reveals Kheer in the Bucket
A fact check by Boom’s team found that the bucket from which PM Modi was serving food actually contained kheer. The Gurudwara in Patna Sahib holds significance as it is the birthplace of the tenth Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, making it an important place of worship for Sikhs. During his visit, PM Modi was seen wearing a turban and serving devotees kheer from the bucket.
Viral Video Misleading, Shows Kheer Being Served
Despite claims on social media, videos clearly show PM Modi serving kheer from a bucket at Gurudwara Patna Sahib in Patna. Screenshots from the viral video make it difficult to distinguish the food being served due to the presence of light and stainless steel plates. The search for videos of PM Modi serving food led to a video posted by news agency ANI on May 13, 2024, confirming that kheer was indeed being served from the bucket.
