Patna residents, get ready! The Patna Metro is about to start operations, and Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate it on September 29. This visit will be his eighth to Bihar this election year, showing his ongoing commitment to the state.

The metro will initially run between three stations: New Pataliputra Bus Terminal, Zero Mile, and Bhootnath. In total, five stations are ready, but for now, the service will be limited to these three. The trains are ready and will consist of three coaches.

This new metro service will allow around 900 passengers to travel at once, making it a great option for daily commuters. Each coach can hold about 300 passengers, and there are safety features like 360-degree cameras and an emergency contact button for passengers.

The introduction of the Patna Metro is expected to ease traffic in the city and help control pollution. It will provide a fast and reliable transport option, reducing the need for private vehicles, buses, and auto-rickshaws.

For safety, the Bihar Special Armed Police will handle security at the metro stations. Passengers will go through security checks using metal detectors and baggage scanners before entering the metro.

Summary:

  • Patna Metro will launch on September 29.

  • It will operate between three stations initially.

  • Each metro coach holds about 300 passengers.

  • Metro aims to reduce traffic and pollution in Patna.

  • Security will be managed with advanced checks at stations.
