Police camping in Jethuli village
Police are currently camping in Jethuli village in Patna due to an old dispute between two groups that resulted in a firing incident. There have been no reports of anyone being injured in the firing. As soon as the incident was reported, the police from Nadi Thana reached the scene and recovered four empty cartridges from the spot.
Previous violent incident in 2023
In a previous violent incident in Jethuli village in Patna in 2023, a parking dispute led to a shootout where five people were shot. Three of them lost their lives in the incident. The video of the incident had also gone viral at that time. Gautam Kumar died at the scene, while Roshan Kumar and Mudrika Ray succumbed to their injuries during treatment in the hospital. Chandrika Ray and Nagendra Ray were injured in the incident.
Accusations of excessive firing
During the 2023 incident, it was alleged that Umesh Ray from one group fired more than 50 rounds of bullets. The enraged locals retaliated by setting fire to the accused’s house, marriage hall, and vehicles. The situation remains tense in the village as the police continue their investigation into the matter.
