In Begusarai, the liquor smugglers killed a police officer. The liquor smugglers ran over Sub-Inspector Khamas Chaudhary with a car while trying to escape, resulting in his death. Meanwhile, a home guard soldier was seriously injured. After the incident, there was a panic in the police department. The SP of Begusarai immediately reached the scene and started the investigation. The police are currently conducting a search operation to catch the liquor smugglers. The SP of Begusarai has instructed to apprehend the liquor smugglers as soon as possible.

According to police sources, on Tuesday night, the SHO of Nawakothi police station received confidential information that someone was transporting a load of liquor in an Alto car. In order to take action based on the information, a police team led by Sub-Inspector Khamas Chaudhary was sent. At around 12:30 am, the police parked their vehicle near the Budhi Gandak River bridge to stop the Alto car and started inspecting the vehicle with their team. During this time, the liquor smuggler increased the speed of the car upon seeing the police. The police team tried to stop the car but the smuggler collided with Sub-Inspector Khamas Chaudhary and the home guard soldier and fled. Sub-Inspector Chaudhary died on the spot due to head injuries. The condition of the home guard soldier is critical.

After the incident, the SP of Begusarai, along with SP Dalbal, reached the scene. The SP stated that a special team has been formed under the leadership of the SDPO Bakhti. The owner of the Alto car has been arrested after a raid. Further action is being taken in the case.
