The city’s security has also been increased, with continuous checking campaigns being conducted in hotels and lodges. The police have conducted inspections and searches of people staying in hotels. On Wednesday night, an anti-crime checking campaign was also carried out by the police team, searching vehicles in areas such as Main Road, Ratoo Road, Harmu Road, and Birsa Chowk.
SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha has stated that the police have been deployed at various intersections and junctions throughout the city since Thursday. All police personnel have been given strict instructions to remain stationed at their assigned locations. Any negligence will be dealt with. It has been mentioned that even police officers in plain clothes are keeping a watchful eye. In addition, the SSP has instructed all station in-charges to maintain special vigilance in their respective areas.
There are changes in the city’s traffic management for Republic Day celebrations in Ranchi. Entry for large vehicles has been restricted from 6 am to 10 pm on January 26. Large vehicles can take alternative routes to their destinations. However, small vehicles will be allowed to move as usual. Small vehicles can travel from Karbala Chowk to Jail Chowk. Additionally, drop gates have been set up at 14 locations near the event venue. Traffic SP Rajkumar Mehta has issued orders regarding this, instructing all traffic police personnel to be stationed at their assigned locations on the day of the event.
Strong security arrangements have been made in Ranchi for January 26. In order to ensure security, 1500 forces have been deployed throughout the district. In addition, around 500 forces will be stationed near the Morhabadi event venue. More than half a dozen DSPs and station in-charges have also been assigned to the Morhabadi field and its surrounding areas for security purposes. The SSP has stated that areas with crowds have been given strong security. Police forces have been deployed in all crowded areas, including bus stands, railway stations, and airports.
