Police Seize Foreign Liquor Worth 8 Lakhs in Jamui
In Jamui, the police have seized foreign liquor worth nearly 8 lakhs from a pickup vehicle along with a car. The SP Rajesh Kumar stated on Tuesday that the police received a confidential tip-off. Following this, two four-wheeler vehicles coming from Deoghar were inspected, leading to the seizure of the liquor from the car. A total of 712 liters of English liquor was recovered from both vehicles.
Arrests Being Made in Connection with the Incident
During interrogation, the accused revealed that they were taking the liquor to Begusarai. Raids are being conducted to arrest other individuals involved in the incident. The arrested accused have been identified as Om Shanti Kumar from Chas, Bokaro in Jharkhand and Roshan Kumar from Jamui.
Value of Seized Liquor and Investigation Details
The market value of the liquor is estimated to be around 8 to 9 lakhs. Additionally, the numbers of two other vehicles have been seized, and their investigation is underway. The police are working towards apprehending all those involved in the illegal transportation of liquor.

This seizure is part of the ongoing efforts by the police to crack down on illegal liquor smuggling activities in the region. The authorities are determined to curb such illegal practices and maintain law and order in the area.
जमुई में पुलिस ने एक कार सहित पिकअप वाहन से करीब 8 लाख का विदेशी शराब जब्त किया है। एसडीपीओ राजेश कुमार ने बताया कि गुप्त सूचना मिलने के बाद पुलिस ने दो चार पहिया वाहनों की जांच की और उनमें से एक से 712 लीटर शराब बरामद की गई। आरोपियों ने बताया कि वे शराब लेकर बेगूसराय जा रहे थे और इस घटना में दो लोगों की गिरफ्तारी की गई है। जब्त वाहन की कीमत बाजार में 8 से 9 लाख के करीब बताई जा रही है। इसके साथ ही दो और गाड़ियों के नंबर की छानबीन भी की जा रही है।
