Allegations of Substandard Materials Used in Construction of Primary School in Kishanganj
It has come to light that the construction of a primary school in Bhathdala, Kishanganj, was carried out using inferior materials. The primary school, located in Ward No. 6 of Thakurganj area under the Nagar Panchayat, has been marred by corruption. Local residents and representatives had been demanding the reconstruction of the school, which had been closed for many years, and their voices were finally heard, leading to the approval of the construction. However, the use of substandard materials has sparked outrage among the locals.
Local Demand for Reconstruction with Proper Materials
The community is demanding that the school be rebuilt using the right materials, as the substandard construction has left them dissatisfied. The atmosphere among the locals has been tense, and on Wednesday, villagers urged District Magistrate Tushar Singla and the district administration to investigate the matter and take action. The demand is to change the quality of construction materials used in the project.
Quality Inspection and Action by Education Authorities
District Education Officer Matiur Rahman has acknowledged the issue and informed that a quality inspection will be conducted. He mentioned that he has sent a team of officials, including Junior Engineers, for on-site inspection. Based on the findings of the investigation, the quality of the materials used in the construction will be improved to address the concerns raised by the locals.
