Weather Changes Expected in Some Parts of Jharkhand
The possibility of weather changes has been expressed in some parts of Jharkhand from Saturday onwards. There may be light rain amidst thunder and strong winds in the northern parts of the state. The weather department has issued a yellow alert, stating that the wind speed will be around 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. The changes in weather will lead to a decrease in heat, providing relief to people from conditions like heatwaves in various parts of the state.
Variation in Temperatures Across Jharkhand
On Friday, there was more heat in districts bordering Bengal, including Santal Pargana. However, there was a slight decrease in temperatures in districts like Ranchi, Kolhan, and Palamu Division. According to the weather department, there are signs of weather changes from Saturday onwards. Despite the maximum temperature dropping by up to three degrees in various parts of the state, it remains higher than usual.
Ranchi Records a Drop in Temperatures
Ranchi recorded a drop of two degrees in the maximum temperature over the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature here was recorded at 36.4 degrees Celsius, while Medininagar recorded 40.1 and Jamshedpur recorded 41.6 degrees. However, the minimum temperature in the state remains higher than normal.
Verbal Autopsy for Heatwave Victims in Jharkhand
Following the heatwave in the state, a verbal autopsy will be conducted for every patient who succumbed to the heatwave. Dr. Atul Goyal, Director of Health Services and Director of the National Center for Disease Control of the Indian government, has instructed health officials in the state regarding this. Dr. Goyal reviewed the preparations for heatwave prevention in states through a video conference on Friday. During the review, he directed the formation of death surveillance committees in all districts of the state to conduct a death surveillance and report on it.
