A 15-year-old girl died in a road accident in Nalanda, Bihar, while two others were injured. The incident occurred near Chora Bagicha in the Deepnagar police station area, on the under-construction Bakhtiyarpur Rajauli Forelane. The victim was identified as Suhani Kumari, the daughter of Dinesh Mahato. After the incident, there was panic in the area and a crowd gathered. The police arrived at the scene and took control of the body, sending it for post-mortem.
According to Suhani’s uncle Babloo, they were traveling from Patna to Nawada with his two nieces on a bike. There was a Tempo standing on the road near Chora Bagicha, while a truck was approaching from the front. Due to loss of control, the bike got stuck in the truck and fell on the road. Suhani’s elder niece died on the spot, while the younger one was injured.
The joy of the Chhath festival turned into mourning due to the sudden incident. Babloo, along with his two nieces, was going to his home for the Chhath festival celebration. The younger niece has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The Deepnagar police station in-charge, Sunil Kumar Jaiswal, informed that the police reached the accident scene upon receiving information of the death, and sent the body for post-mortem to Bihar Sharif Sadar Hospital. The truck involved in the accident has also been seized, and further action will be taken upon receiving the application.
Currently, the police are investigating the entire case.
